Proctoring Requirements
To reserve a spot for test proctoring, students must make the reservation at least 10 days prior to their appointment. The student needs to arrive on time for the appointment. If they cannot make it or will be running late, they should inform the library immediately. Please note that any penalties associated with missing a test or starting it late will be solely the responsibility of the student.
Reservations are not firm until contacted and finalized by library staff. Please do not contact your school to send material before checking with us to see if we have an opening.
To take a test, the student must schedule a proctoring time at least 10 days before the desired date. It's important to note that drop-in proctoring is not available.
The library computers generally allow for the downloading and installing of software, but the Library cannot directly support or guarantee the functionality of any particular electronic test-taking platform. Students are responsible for verifying that the computer resources at the library are adequate for test taking. The library is not responsible for providing a laptop. If the student brings their own, they must make sure it is allowable under the testing guidelines.
The library is not responsible for handling any costs associated with the exam. The student is responsible for all fees incurred during the exam.
As a proctor, their main responsibility is to make sure that everyone taking the exam is being honest.
The proctor will look over the instructions that come with the test to make sure that they are clear and easy to follow. Before the test, they will fill out all the necessary forms to make sure everything is in order.
The library will provide a space for the student to take the test. Please note, it will not be in a private study room, but it will be in a common area.
The library staff will check the student's identification and issue the exam either by administering a paper exam or by logging into the test-taking site with a password.
