No need to worry if you can't find what you're looking for at the McCracken County Public Library. You can make use of our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service and request materials from other libraries that we work with. It's a great way to get your hands on books, movies, and other items that may not be available here. This service is especially helpful for specialized, academic, or out-of-print titles.
We only borrow titles from other libraries if we do not own a copy. If the title you are wanting is owned by the Libibrary but checked out, you can place a hold on it and add your name to the waitlist.
Rules for Requesting:
The person picking up these materials must have the library card that is on the request.
ILL materials may not be renewed.
If ILL materials are not picked up, a $5.00 processing fee will be charged.
No more than 20 items may be requested in one week. In special instances, the patron may speak to an Interlibrary Loan staff person about making an exception to this limit.
Must have a valid library card with no more than $10 in fines.
Status of Interlibrary Loan Request:
If you're curious about the progress of your interlibrary loan request, feel free to reach out to Interlibrary Loan at 270-442-2510 ext 144 during their weekday hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also drop them an email at ill@mclib.net if that's more convenient for you.
