Program Description

Event Details

In this exciting evening of illusions presented by Clay Howerton, audience members will experience inexplicable mysteries. The theme of the show will illuminate the principle that life is not merely a puzzle to be solved, but a mystery to be enjoyed. Most of the illusions will be presented as typical magic tricks, but one – the oldest magic trick known to man – will be explained for the audience members, so that they may delight others with it. Among the highlights will be a variation of a trick that Clay has performed with the world’s #1 touring magician, Reza, and which Reza has told audiences is “the greatest trick I ever saw.”

Clay Howerton is a Paducah native who spent a career in the United States Air Force before returning to Western Kentucky to run the operations of a charitable foundation. He is an amateur movie director, and an actor who portrays the role of a magician. He emphasizes that his “magic” acts are truly an act, as there is certainly no magic behind the illusions, just mystery and fun. He has performed for local fundraisers, as well as for audiences at the Carson Center and at events in Louisville and elsewhere.
