This year cicadas are getting a lot of attention! With a rare double brood emerging in the eastern United States these insects have been seen all over the news!
Join a naturalist from the Woodlands Nature Station to discover the complex lifecycle of this amazing insect and the impact they have on the ecology of our Kentucky forests!
As the Public Programs Coordinator at the Woodlands Nature Station, Nickolaus Willis works to educate the public on the natural history of Kentucky. Located in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, the Nature Station is home to over 50 species of rescued native wildlife and a backyard habitat that encourages native plants, insects, and hummingbirds.
All programs are free and open to the public
